Light Robot is a term used to describe the first Tier of Robots that a pilot will use after upgrading from their Arkhe, requiring Basic Robotics one, and Racial Robotics one. Mark Two Light Robots instead require Racial Robot Control 3.

Each faction also features EW light robots, which add the requirement of Spec Ops one, and three for the mark one and mark two versions respectively. Industrials are the only exception to this rule.
